Why do you not accept Insurance?

On Track Physical Therapy is not currently a participating provider with any insurance plans. Insurance-based care models are heavily directed by insurance reimbursement rates.  This greatly impacts and limits the amount of time and attention a Physical Therapist can provide each patient at their visit, and can also influence the treatment modalities that can be used. On Track’s model of care is different, and allows us to focus on just YOU for the entire appointment from start to finish. This time allows us to listen to your every need and concern at each visit. Additionally, it provides us with more time to perform a thorough assessment and re-assessment each visit. Frequent assessments and re-assessments during the same visit will help ensure that we are "On Track" and heading down the right path to recovery.  During your appointment, we will have plenty of time to perform the necessary manual therapy techniques and provide you with in-depth patient education.  Furthermore, we want to spend enough time with you so that your exercise technique is flawless, and you have the confidence to perform these exercises at home.  With this model, we expect you to recover faster and with less overall visits.

I was told I need Therapy 3x per week?

Physicians often recommend Physical Therapy 3x per week. You should realize that these are general guidelines.  At On Track Physical Therapy, we spend a full hour of one-on-one treatment.  This focused time period allows us to also provide you with plenty of education so that you can successfully treat yourself at home as well. At On Track, our focus is on the “quality” of the time spent with the patient at their appointment.  A typical patient at our clinic will schedule 1x per week or every other week. Focused attention to detail and a specific plan of action, we expect to give you faster results and less visits overall. (Post surgical patients can expect 1-2 visits per week)

Do I need Referral from my Doctor or Insurance Company?

In the state of Michigan, you do NOT need a Physician Referral to see a Physical Therapist.  To provide you with the best treatment possible, we do not participate with Insurance Companies. If you have Out-of-Network Benefits and would like to submit a claim with the receipts provided for you, then you MAY need a Physician Referral for your Insurance Company to honor this benefit.

Can I submit my bills to Insurance?

In most cases, YES! We will provide you with a receipt at the end of treatment which you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. In some cases, your insurance MAY require a Physician Referral with your claim for reimbursement.

Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts are both accepted!

To find out if your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, download the document below.

What type of payment do you accept?

Payments can be made through Cash, Check, Credit/Debit Card, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

What should I wear?

Be sure to bring clothes that are comfortable to exercise in, and allow easy access to your injured body part. Changing rooms are available for your use.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Be sure to bring copies of any medical records you feel might be helpful for us to see, such as copies of operative reports or results of imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT Scan) studies.

In addition, please print and fill out the intake forms on the scheduling page.  This will save us time on your first visit, so we can focus immediately on your treatment.
